Set right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail with an expansive indoor space, a delectable menu, and an outdoor area for good conversation and yard games, make sure that Southernside is on your must-visit list. This brewery opened in January 2021 and has a full Southern-infused menu that includes mouth-watering appetizers like truffle parmesan fries, deviled eggs, pimento mac n' cheese, and apple pie with ice cream. Even though it's a brewery, this establishment also has its liquor license and can serve a full array of cocktails as well as wine.
25 Delano Dr., Unit D.
Born and raised in the upstate of SC Kenny studied packaging science at Clemson where he honed his homebrewing skills - applying the newfound knowledge in the sciences to brewing. He began volunteering at Thomas Creek Brewery in January of 2014 while in his final semester at Clemson. After working at a retail beer shop over the summer he decided to pursue the path of brewing instead of entering the packaging world. In October of 2014 Kenny started brewing full-time at Thomas Creek. When an opportunity to climb the ladder came, he moved to Watford City, North Dakota in October of 2016 to accept the head brewer position at Stonehome Brewing Co. where he created all recipes, brewed all beers, and learned a lot from the great midwestern people and breweries. In October of 2018 it was time to get away from the cold so Kenny left North Dakota and traveled Europe, Morocco, and the UK for 2 months before coming back to Greenville in further pursuit of his brewing career. When he’s not brewing, thinking about brewing, or trying to set up a collaboration brew Kenny can be found somewhere outside. That could be running, biking, playing disc golf, traveling, or wherever the next adventure is.
